Following a successful 12 month trial, Posten Bring signed a contract for us to provide our ZeroCarbon Charge solution for 161 electric vans and trucks at their depots for at least the next 12 months.

Posten Bring is a Nordic postal and logistics group with more than 12,500 employees. The organisation aims to simplify and add value to trade and communication for people and businesses in the Nordics. Their vision is to make everyday life easier and the world smaller.

Posten Bring’s sustainability objective is to be the best at sustainable value creation. To achieve this ambition, the group are aiming to convert all vans and 80 per cent of trucks to be fossil-free by 2030, reach net zero road emissions from all road transport by 2040 and be net zero across the group by 2050. Our client has already reduced CO2 emissions by 51 percent since 2012 and for the third year in a row appeared in the top companies of PwC’s climate index.

Our solution

Over the 12 months prior to the signing of the new contract, Posten Bring undertook a pilot of  ZeroCarbon Charge which demonstrated the software and our service capability. Throughout the pilot, we ensured that the logistics fleet was charged while managing the electrical load, which was essential due to operating within constrained energy infrastructure. The software driven ZeroCarbon Charge solution has been proven to be compatible with all features and capabilities required on our client’s range of electric vans and charging hardware.

The subsequent contract signed with the client in September 2023, will deliver smart charging management services for 161 vehicles, including both eLCVs and eHGVs. This includes electrical load management, tariff optimisation, real-time dashboard and reporting, and a support helpdesk for issue and fault troubleshooting and resolution. Our solution is technology agnostic and will operate on the client’s wide range of electric vehicles and charging hardware.

Benefits delivered to Posten Bring

The work that we carry out under this contract will enable our customer to:

  • manage the charging loads at the depots to stay within site limits;
  • see real-time information on vehicles and charging operations;
  • implement operational improvements data science-based insight reports; and
  • ensure vehicles are charged and ready for deliveries.

We are enabling Posten Bring’s plan to convert its entire fleet of vans and 80% of its trucks to fossil-free alternatives, and to reach its ambitious climate goals early, having already reduced CO2 emissions by 51% since 2012. The partnership will also help prove the ability to deliver and operate ZeroCarbon Charge in a challenging environment.
